Childbirth Education + Workshops


We offer an all-inclusive childbirth education program that everyone can benefit from, no matter your plans for childbirth. Classes are offered as group and private classes depending on your needs. Private childbirth classes can be formatted over 3-day, 2-day or 1-day intensives. 

We also offer fun and informative classes such as our most popular Prenatal Partner Workshop, Meditation + Yoga Nidra for Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond, Postpartum Prep... and our free Pregnancy Circles are full of great information to guide you on your journey. 

All classes and workshops are available in group settings and private sessions. All of our classes exist to empower you and your birth coach, they are "partner/coach guided" giving you birth coach (whoever that might be) the tools and confidence they need to support you through this process. Modern, evidence based and 100% practical. We know that most of what you learn goes out the window when you are actually in labor, and we fill in that space for you with quality education + practical hands on techniques. Contact us with any questions you may have about our childbirth classes. 

Prenatal Partner Workshop

Our most popular childbirth prep workshop. This is a fun, informative, workshop that you can take anytime during your pregnancy. (You will learn helpful tips + tools that you can use throughout your pregnancy as well as during your birth and postpartum.) 

In this unique workshop you will get the opportunity to connect to your partner or birth coach (this can be a mom, friend, doula, whomever!) and prepare for welcoming your little one into the world. We will discuss things to do in pregnancy to achieve optimal fetal positions (getting baby in an ideal position), Movement and poses that will help ease aches and pains that are associated with pregnancy, massage techniques, relaxation + breathing techniques, comfort measures and labor positions, as well as tips for the birth coach.

A handout is provided. This is our most popular workshop as it is the most fun “childbirth class” you will take. Partners leave this workshop with tools to help mama through pregnancy and childbirth, and they love the hands on approach!

Relaxed Birth: Childbirth Workshop

Relaxed: free from tension and anxiety; at ease. This course will help you have a birth that is just that! These classes cover everything you need to know to make informed and empowered decisions about your birth. With education and practice you and your birth coach can navigate your birth with ease. This class includes evidenced based information and hands on practice that will leave you and your birth coach feeling confident and prepared. Relaxed Birth covers everything from hands on comfort measures, relaxation techniques, stages of labor, medications and interventions to when to go to your planned location for birth. Classes are for everyone, no matter your plans for birth.

Yoga Nidra + Meditation for Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond

This workshop begins with a therapeutic fear releasing exercise and is following by relaxation and rejuvenation as we work through various meditation techniques, mantra, affirmations and a yoga nidra practice. All of these practices work to release fear and tension, while increasing relaxation and confidence; connecting you more deeply to yourself and your baby. Everyone who attends will receive a download of the yoga nidra for pregnancy meditation by April Lovett.

Postpartum Prep Workshop

Postpartum is one of the most challenging times, it is also the one we are usually the least prepared for. This workshop will provide you with the understanding on what to expect after baby arrives, the emotions of postpartum and how to prepare to have a better postpartum experience.

Some things that will be covered:
-What is postpartum, how long does it last? 
-Things to do to help the body heal. What to have in your healing kit and how to use it. (We also have postpartum kits available for purchase).
-Placenta encapsulation
-Postpartum emotions
-Creating a postpartum plan
-Exercise & caring for your pelvic floor
-Checking for Diastasis Recti

Pregnancy Circles

The circles are lead by a professional in the birth community. They are a great way to connect with other local mamas and discuss different topics around pregnancy.

Feeling stressed or overwhelmed? A consultation with our founder, April Lovett, can help. There are a variety of ways that we can work with you to help you find direction and feel more calm and connected during your pregnancy.

Education + Resources April can answer questions about the birth process, about doulas and childbirth education, help you in creating your birth plan and guide you through the various choices in services, classes and birth professionals in the area based on your specific needs. This can be great for partners too! These consultations are very helpful if a birth doula is not in your birth plan.

Movement + Relaxation April can create a daily movement and meditation plan so you can have the most optimal prenatal experience possible and gain tools to use during your birthing time.

Fears + Yoga Nidra April is training in using yoga nidra meditation in preparation for birth. It is both deeply relaxing and healing. In these sessions we discuss and address fears and goals and go through a deeply relaxing yoga nidra session/ You receive an audio copy of the meditation to listen to throughout your pregnancy.
