April can teach you meditations and daily movements that are important for comfort throughout pregnancy. These practices are ways for you to achieve optimal fetal positioning for your baby. Our goal throughout pregnancy is create space, release tension and reduce pain. Making room for baby to get in the best position possible for birth and space for mom to feel her best, be fit and relaxed during the process.
In these consultations April will work with you to create a daily movement plan, she will teach you how to support yourself as you are seated, as you drive and as you sleep, so that you are working with your ever changing body. You will learn tools to help ease the aches and pains associated with pregnancy as well as relaxation techniques to practice throughout pregnancy that will help reduce tension and prepare you for childbirth and parenthood. We can also practice techniques that can be done by your partner so that you will have the opportunity to connect and prepare together.
During these consultation April can also answer questions about birth doulas, postpartum preparation, birth plans and guide you through the various choices in services, classes and birth professionals in the area based on your specific needs.
